A group of five young chemist visited the city but a sudden and inexplicable disaster causes a blackout in the city and around the world. Chaos follows, and an unknown race of aliens with a strange control over electricity, launches its ultimate assault on humanity. The Group sought refuge underground, and a few days later, they emerge from the shadows to discover a world ghostlike and deserted. But while they look for other survivors, they feel that the threat persiste…
The group is composed of Emile Hirsch (Into the Wild, Speed Racer), Olivia Thirlby (Juno), Max Minghella (The Social Network), Rachael Taylor (Transformers) and Joel Kinnaman (The Killing). The film was directed by Chris Gorak but production was conducted by Timur Bekmambetov, Director of Wanted that will soon deliver Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter.
